Liaise with client
Practice
Activity 1: Confirm client requirements
A client wants to back up their work. You have suggested that an internal DVD-RW drive will be suitable for the task. They have indicated that they are not prepared to pay more than $300 for the solution.
To confirm the client requirements, prepare a short document setting out your recommendations in a table layout. Your table should include the following:
- the proposed solution (ie DVD-RW)
- the recommended drive to purchase, including cost. (You will have to do some research to find a suitable model, including meeting the cost criteria of less than $300.)
- a timeline for providing the solution
- a statement on the technical support to be provided.

Activity 3: Provide user documentation
Prepare a short document (like a mini help manual) to provide technical support for the client so that they can use the DVD-RW device effectively. Note that the client has no experience in using DVD burning software.
