You may have a document consisting purely of text. However, using screen shots is a very helpful way of illustrating the steps needed. In the following example you can use screen shots to illustrate Steps 3 to 6. The screen shots you can use are available at http://www.ulead.com. Follow the link to ‘Products’ and ‘DVD Authoring’. Then select ‘Ulead Burn.Now’ and select ‘Screen Shots’ under ‘Product Info’.

Backing up data to a DVD

  1. Load the DVD into the DVD drive.
  2. The DVD drive will activate automatically.
  3. When the Select a task – Disc Tools screen appears, click on Create Disc.
  4. When the Select a task – Edit Disc screen appears, click on Edit Disc.
  5. When the Select a task – Edit Disc screen is loaded, choose Data disc by clicking in the circle beside this entry.
  6. At the Ulead Burn.Now – Data disc screen, choose either the specific folder you require to be backed up, or choose the top level of the structure to backup all data on your hard disk.
  7. The status line at the bottom of the screen will tell you how much space you have remaining on your DVD.
  8. When all the data you require is backed up to your DVD, close the Window Explorer window by clicking the cross in the right hand corner of the screen.
  9. Your data is now backed up. Make sure you store the DVD in a dry, secure location.
