In this task the goal is to get students to capture 10-15 discrete shots that will later be edited into a coherent whole in task 3. Students are encouraged to use their shot list as a checklist as they film. If it will be more time effecient students are encouraged to shoot their shots in a non-chronological order. Each shot will then be self, peer and finally teacher evaluated for it's effectiveness as to how well it has adhered to the foundational concepts covered thus far. It is normal for the shots to have mistakes and run much longer than anticipated - as long as the students 'get the shot' they should not be penalised for this.
